Allegheny Woodrat

Species Description
**Description:** A shy, nocturnal rodent with soft gray fur, large ears, and a fully furred tail.
**Size & Weight:** 14–17 inches long (including tail). Weighs 7–13 oz.
**Sexual Dimorphism:** Males and females are similar in size.
**Conservation:** Rare / Species of Concern. Much cleaner than common rats, they build massive stick nests in caves.
**Habitat:** Specialized rocky "rock cities" and talus slopes of the plateau.
