Species Description

**Description:** A sleek, semi-aquatic member of the weasel family with dark chocolate-brown fur and a small white patch on the chin.
**Size & Weight:** 13–18 inches in body length with a 6–10 inch tail. Weighs 1.5–3.5 lbs.
**Sexual Dimorphism:** Males are significantly larger and heavier than females.
**Behavior:** Aggressive and agile hunters capable of diving up to 10 feet. More streamlined than an otter and much larger than a weasel.
**Habitat:** Banks of the Allegheny River and secluded beaver ponds.
