Species Description
**Description:** A high-energy warbler with a long tail; males are jet-black with vivid orange patches on the wings and tail.
**Size & Weight:** 4.3–5.1 inches long. Weighs roughly 0.3 oz.
**Sexual Dimorphism:** Extreme. Males are black and orange; females and immature males are olive-grey with yellow patches.
**Behavior:** Signature habit of tail-fanning and drooping wings to "flash" bright patches and flush out insects mid-air.
**Habitat:** Moist deciduous forests with a dense shrub understory.
