Species Description
**Description:** A familiar, large thrush with a dark gray back, a white throat with black streaks, and a bold orange-red breast.
**Size & Weight:** 7.9–11 inches long. Weighs 2.7–3 oz.
**Sexual Dimorphism:** Males have a darker black head and more vibrant orange breast than females.
**Behavior:** Often seen "listening" for earthworms on lawns or forest floors. Many stay in Pennsylvania all winter if berries are available.
**Habitat:** Ubiquitous; found in forest clearings, gardens, and campgrounds.
