Species Description

**Description:** A beautiful, cascading white fungus with long, icicle-like spines that grow from a branched structure.
**Size:** Can grow 6 to 12 inches across.
**Identification:** Closely related to the Lion's Mane but features a more complex, "coral-like" branched structure.
**Habits:** Highly prized by foragers for its mild flavor. It is a wood-rotting fungus that appears in late summer and fall.
**Habitat:** Found on the trunks of living or fallen hardwood trees, especially Beech and Maple.
