**Description:** A small, aggressive dragonfly; males feature a vibrant sky-blue abdomen and metallic green thorax.
**Size:** 1 to 1.5 inches long.
**Sexual Dimorphism:** Males have the "frosted" blue tail and white face; females are yellowish-brown with a dark line down the side of the abdomen.
**Behavior:** Known for the "obelisk" posture, raising the abdomen vertically toward the sun to stay cool on hot afternoons.
**Habitat:** Edges of beaver ponds and the reservoir.
