Bulblet Fern

Species Description
**Description:** A graceful, light-green fern with very long, tapering fronds that often hang downward from rocky ledges.
**Size:** Fronds grow 12 to 30 inches long.
**Identification:** Named for the small green "bulblets" on the underside of the stem that drop off to grow into new ferns.
**Life Cycle:** One of the few ferns to reproduce via both spores and asexual bulblets.
**Habitat:** Found on moist, shaded limestone outcroppings and rocky stream banks.
