Species Description

**Description:** A large flycatcher with a blackish head, white throat, and a bold white band at the tip of its dark tail.
**Size & Weight:** 7.5–9 inches long. Weighs 1.2–1.9 oz.
**Sexual Dimorphism:** Monomorphic; sexes are identical.
**Behavior:** Famous for their "tyrant" behavior, fearlessly dive-bombing Crows, Hawks, and even Bald Eagles. They are aggressive nest defenders.
**Habitat:** Open areas near water, shorelines of the reservoir, and Buzzard Swamp.
