Species Description
**Description:** A tiny, metallic green beetle whose larvae burrow into the bark of Ash trees, disrupting the treeโs nutrient flow.
**Size:** Adults are 0.5 inches long.
**Invasive Impact:** Has caused catastrophic loss of Ash trees across the plateau; dead "snags" along the reservoir are often the result of this pest.
**Identification:** Look for "D-shaped" exit holes in the bark and "S-shaped" galleries beneath the surface.
**Habitat:** Restricted to Ash trees (Fraxinus species).
