**Description:** A large, colorful flycatcher with a cinnamon-brown tail, lemon-yellow belly, and a shaggy gray crest.
**Size & Weight:** 7–8.5 inches long. Weighs 1–1.4 oz.
**Behavior:** Famous for weaving shed snakeskins into the rim of its nest to deter predators like squirrels and jays.
**Identification:** Highly vocal; look for them high in the canopy where they give a loud, rising "WHEEEP" call.
**Habitat:** Deciduous forest interiors and old-growth woodlots with large nesting cavities.
