**Description:** A rare native shrub with three-part leaves; its circular, winged seeds resemble dried wafers.
**Size:** Typically 6 to 15 feet tall.
**Life Cycle:** Rare / Species of Concern. Primary host plant for the Giant Swallowtail butterfly in this region.
**Identification:** All parts of the plant release a strong, pungent citrus-like scent when crushed.
**Habitat:** Well-drained slopes and river terraces; often found on limestone-derived soils.
