**Description:** A tall, stately perennial with purple-spotted stems and massive clusters of dusty-pink flowers.
**Size:** Can reach heights of 3 to 7 feet.
**Wildlife Value:** A powerhouse nectar plant in late summer for Swallowtails, Monarchs, and various species of native bees.
**Identification:** Features "whorled" leaves growing in a circle around the stem and distinctive dark purple spots on the main stalk.
**Habitat:** Moist meadows, roadside ditches, and near the marshy edges of the reservoir.
