**Description:** A tiny, delicate fern with a dark, wiry stem and bright green fronds.
**Size:** Fronds are only 2 to 6 inches long.
**Conservation:** Rare / Species of Concern. Highly sensitive to changes in local humidity and disturbed rock faces.
**Identification:** Features a starkly contrasting ebony-colored central stem.
**Habitat:** Grows almost exclusively in the crevices of limestone rocks or alkaline rock outcroppings.
