Species Description

**Description:** A low-growing native shrub with trumpet-shaped yellow flowers that turn reddish as they age.

**Wildlife Value:** Provides high-quality nectar for returning bumblebees and hummingbirds. Serves as a larval host for Clearwing moths.
**Identification:** Features opposite, finely toothed leaves and dry, beak-like seed capsules.
**Habitat:** Rocky slopes, forest edges, and clearings.
