Species Description

**Description:** A tiny blue-gray bird featuring a yellow chest and a distinct bronze "saddle" on its back.
**Size & Weight:** 4.3โ€“4.7 inches long. Weighs roughly 0.3 oz.
**Sexual Dimorphism:** Males typically display a yellow throat and breast divided by a narrow dark band; females lack the dark band.
**Life Cycle:** They incorporate Usnea (Old Manโ€™s Beard) lichen into their nests, which camouflages them perfectly against tree branches.
**Identification:** Key identifiers include white eye-arcs and two white wing bars.
**Habitat:** High-rise residents of the forest, preferring the very tops of tall conifers like hemlocks.
