**Description:** A small songbird with olive-green upperparts, a gray cap, and a distinct ruby-red eye visible at close range.
**Size & Weight:** 4.7–5.1 inches long. Weighs roughly 0.4 oz.
**Sexual Dimorphism:** Monomorphic; sexes are identical in appearance.
**Behavior:** Known as "preacher birds" because they sing tirelessly all day long. A single bird may sing over 20,000 songs in a single afternoon.
**Habitat:** One of the most abundant birds of the mature forest interior canopy during summer.
