Species Description
**Description:** A stocky, red-eyed sunfish with a bronze-olive body and dark spots forming horizontal rows.
**Size & Weight:** Typically 6–10 inches long. Weighs 0.5–1 lb.
**Behavior:** Often called "Goggle-eyes." They have a remarkable chameleon-like ability to change color to blend into their surroundings.
**Identification:** Features six spines on the anal fin, whereas most other sunfish only have three.
**Habitat:** Rocky shorelines, docks, and large boulders in the reservoir.
