**Description:** A late-blooming goldenrod with wrinkled (rugose) leaf texture and arching, one-sided flower sprays.
**Size:** 2 to 5 feet tall.
**Wildlife Value:** A vital late-season "fuel station" for Monarch butterflies during their fall migration.
**Identification:** Features hairy stems and leaves with very prominent veins.
**Habitat:** Moist meadows, forest edges, and regenerating clearcuts.
