**Description:** A slender, hardy plant found clinging to rocky ledges and shale slopes.
**Size:** 1 to 2.5 feet tall.
**Conservation:** Rare / Species of Concern. A specialist of harsh environments, vulnerable to climbing activities and invasive species.
**Identification:** Look for a tall, very thin stem with small, creamy-white flowers and a basal rosette of leaves.
**Habitat:** Steep sandstone cliffs and shale barrens overlooking the Allegheny River.
