Striped Skunk

Species Description

**Description:** A cat-sized mammal with bold black-and-white stripes that serve as an aposematic warning to predators. They have a small head, short legs, and a large, bushy tail.
**Size & Weight:** 20–30 inches long. Weigh 6–14 lbs.
**Sexual Dimorphism:** Males are slightly larger than females.
**Identification:** Most active at night. They possess a natural immunity to many snake venoms, including rattlesnakes.
**Behavior:** Docile residents of forest edges. They only spray a foul-smelling musk as a last resort, preceded by warning signs like foot-stomping and hissing.
