Species Description

**Description:** A brilliant, metallic green beetle featuring six small white spots on the wing covers (elytra).
**Size:** 0.4 to 0.5 inches long.
**Behavior:** Incredibly fast runners that use massive, sickle-shaped mandibles to ambush other insects. They are visual hunters that take flight quickly if approached.
**Identification:** Electric green color that seems to "glow" in sunlight. Despite their ferocious hunting habits, they are harmless to humans.
**Habitat:** Sunny forest paths, logs, and large rocks during the day.
