Species Description
**Description:** A fascinating fern with long, tapering, heart-shaped fronds that take root at the tips to create new clones.
**Size:** Fronds are 4 to 12 inches long.
**Conservation:** Rare / Species of Concern. Restricted to mossy, shaded limestone or high-calcium sandstone boulders.
**Behavior:** Literally "walks" across rock faces over generations by growing new plants where the leaf tips touch moist moss.
**Habitat:** Humid rocky crevices and specialized rock cities on the plateau.
