Species Description

**Description:** A fragrant woodland flower with five-petaled blue or lavender blossoms that appear to "glow" in dappled sunlight.
**Size:** 10 to 15 inches tall.
**Identification:** Features sticky, hairy stems and petals with a small notch at the tip. Highly shade-tolerant.
**Wildlife Value:** Flowers are shaped perfectly for long-tongued butterflies and clearwing moths.
**Habitat:** Common in rich deciduous forests and moist bottomlands.
